About Irving's CVB

The Convention and Visitors Bureau represents the $1.5 billion dollar year hospitality industry in our community, the benefits of which allow the average Irving household to save $587 annually in taxes. Funded solely by hotel/motel tax collections, the Irving Convention and Visitors Bureau targets corporate, convention and leisure visitors to our Hospitality Industry Partners - the city's hotels, restaurants, attractions and shops, as well as attractions throughout Dallas /Fort Worth. The strength of the visitor industry and the city's hotel/motel tax collections also provide the funding resources for the city's vibrant Irving Arts Center, and the Preservation and Redevelopment Program.

Our Sales staff features specialists in the worlds of corporate and association travel, as well as sports, group tours and leisure travel, and the SMERF (Social, Military, Educational, Religious, Fraternal) markets. With destination sales offices in Washington DC and Chicago, we're also right in your neighborhood every day. Our Services staff is the best in the business evidenced, by our numerous Gold Service Awards from Meetings and Conventions Magazine and our repeated Awards of Excellence from Corporate & Incentive Travel Magazine and Successful Meetings' Pinnacle Award. Our Marketing and Communications staff knows how to get the word out about your event, and how to provide the media with all the resources to cover Irving and the entire Dallas/Fort Worth area.
